The Bell Center for Anxiety and Depression is a private practice in Columbia, Maryland with extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy.  The Bell Center’s areas of specialty include:

After assessing the needs of the individual, the Bell Center offers the following services:

  • Individual psychotherapy (office-based and in vivo at home, school, or elsewhere)
  • Family psychotherapy
  • Group psychotherapy for hoarding, anxiety, parenting, and specific skills
  • School consultation
  • Behavioral plan development and implementation
  • Professional supervision for other service providers

In addition to these services, the Bell Center strongly advocates for the team model and encourages collaboration among those involved with a client’s care. “Challenging Clutter” Group Begins 9/11/19

The 10-week “Challenging Clutter” group is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 11th at 7pm.  This group uses research-supported Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies to:

  • educate about clutter and why it happens,
  • develop skills to address clutter-related problems,
  • address barriers to overcoming a cluttered environment,
  • and create strategies for working with setbacks.

Topics addressed include:

  • Characteristics of individuals who clutter
  • Understanding Emotional Attachment to items
  • Challenging assumptions about how to deal with possessions
  • Developing new behaviors and Replacing past behaviors
  • Strategies for letting go and getting organized
